Versace
Gianni Versace founded his namesake label in 1978, and fashion hasn’t been the same since. In his designs, rock and roll attitude met Italian opulence, but the shock value and cultural boundary pushing of his pieces belied the traditional couture techniques he used to drape and construct his garments. His knack for dressing supers from Cindy to Naomi in powerful, ultra-sexy looks has left us with some of fashion’s most iconic imagery. Following his untimely death in 1997, Gianni’s younger sister and muse, Donatella, took over as Artistic Director. Since then, she has put her own stamp on the house while honoring her brother’s legacy by revisiting and reinterpreting the archives. With the ‘80s and ’90s vintage revival in full swing, Versace’s designs are more relevant than ever. From archival styles seen in the kaleidoscopic, Marilyn Monroe-bedecked pop collection to modern Medusa head pieces, shop our collection of bold Versace looks and add a piece of fashion history to your collection.
